TOGETHER
This was the theme of our recent Church Camp. Our speaker Michael Williamson raised with us questions such as: How do we get to know one another? How do we start a loving conversation?
He encouraged us to use F. O. R. E. to help with this. These four areas are easy to raise with someone coming to a church gathering (services and groups). Ask with gentleness and be a good listener. The aim is to develop and deepen our relationships.
FAMILY:
What’s your family like?
Who’s in your family?
Where do you live?
What does your family like to do together?
OCCUPATION:
How do you occupy your time?
What do you enjoy as a hobby?
What sport do you like to watch or play? What job do you have/would prefer?
RELIGION:
Which church service do you attend?
How did you become a Christian?
What do you love/find difficult about following Jesus?
EXPECTATIONS:
What do you expect/hope this week/year at church will look like? What are you expecting/hoping the coming year will include for you? For those you love?
Your Pastor,
Wayne
